This last weekend Owen's wrestling tournament was at U-High. Jared promised Owen that if he were to beat all of his guys, and win the Gold medal, he would buy him a comic book. And HE DID IT! Bribery works most every time. He did so good! Here's some pics..

Owen weighs in every week, his weight will go up or down by a few pounds, 43 lbs this time! (He's gained a pound, probably of muscle!) :)
First to wrestle, 5 & 6 yr olds...
For those of you that are new to this sport, as I was this year, I'll fill you in a little bit. They wrestle by age, and by weight within their age group. Owen wrestles other 5 and 6 year olds who weigh the same as he does. Each tournament, they set them up with 3 other boys in their weight group. They wrestle each other, and based on who pins who, they will determine who gets 1st, 2nd and so forth. The cool thing is though, all 4 guys get a medal...there are two bronze metals! They get points for certain moves, getting away, and taking their opponent down. They can beat the other guy by points if neither gets pinned. Of course, if they beat all guys they wrestle, they win! Which is what Owen did. :)

Thanks for coming out to support Owen: Grandpa/Grandma Osborn, cousin Jake, and Aunt Marcie! He loved having more family there. Owen had fun, it was a good day!
One more tournament to go!! This Saturday at East Valley High School!
