I'm all done!!

So, I've finally done it, I've completed my personal progress book and projects! I've earned the recognition and necklace, and it'll be awarded soon! It took me a little more than a year, and was well worth it.

This was my last project. I made a chart for Family night. Growing up my parents had one we'd use and I loved that it would rotate each week so we each could participate. It was such a blessing for our family to have family night each Monday, and the memories are priceless. One of my all time favorite things we did during our family night was to have a VIP. We'd rotate, so that each week one of us would be the VIP that night, and we'd all take turns saying something nice about them. In a family of 8 kids, kind words were hard to say, but were secretly special to us. My little family has carried on this tradition, and we love it! Here's the chart...

And close up on our pics...

I made this almost entirely out of felt and yep, I cut out each letter you see too! Then I hot glued it all together and tadah, this is what I got. I'm really pleased with the result, its better than what I had pictured before I began. I'm going to expand and add a garage to the side for more space as our family grows! I'm excited to use it.

I liked how you said the VIP gets nice things said about them that's such a good idea. And I could see why you'd probably secretly treasure them.

Really cute Miss! I love it. So what did you use on the backs of the pictures to rotate? I'm picturing velcro or magnets... I love the idea of adding a garage too as your family grows, that's awesome. :)

Funny that, I was going to use magnets but it was too bulky and stuck out really far. So it came to me, duh, this is felt and felt sticks to itself. So I just put felt on the cardboard backs of each picture. They stay pretty good. It was fun designing it too. Thanks! :)
