It Begins..
For the whole month of March, for the past few years, we are invloved in wrestling. With 2 weekly practices and Saturday tournaments, we are busy busy. This year we have two little wrestlers. Tanner, who was born wrestling lol, gets to start his first year doing it! He is a natural and loves it so far. Like any kid his age, its hard to stay focused. But he did really well this last Saturday at the Take down Tournament. No metals this round, but they got to put into practice what they learned so far. Owen is wrestling in the 7-8 year old group, and Tanner with the 5-6 year olds. We really stress the "have fun" part of wrestling and tell them to do their best! Tanner weighed in at 43 lbs and Owen was 53 lbs. Here are our tough wrestlers!

And devoted fans, cheering them on! :)

Weigh-in starts at 7am for Tanner and then at 9am for Owen. So it makes for a long Saturday but well worth showing family support. They have 3 more Saturday's to go, so wish them luck! More fun wrestling pictures to come. :)

I Apologize

Just want to say sorry to all of you who get my new posts by email. Every time you edit a post it will resend the post to your email list. So as I have been figuring this blogging thing out again, I'm sure you're getting several of the same posts. This is all kinda tricky. Sorry for all the emails. :) At least I'm trying right!

Happy Birthday Jared!

My hunk of a husband turned 33 in February. He thinks he is so old now, but he is only as old as he acts. So he is very young. lol Just teasing honey! :) For his Birthday the boys got to have a dart gun war with Dad. Nothing like pizza, banana cream pie, and being together. We kept it mellow, just the way Jared likes it.

Its a tradition every year to have a double date with Jared's brother Ben and his wife Celeste. Ben's Birthday is the day before Jared's. This year they came over to our house when they were in town, while the kids kept Grandma and Grandpa Osborn on their toes babysitting, and we all worked together to cook up some Thai food. We are talking yummy peanut sauce! It was really good. We played some games and had a nice quiet evening.

I am so lucky to be married to this man. He is the kind of guy who will do dishes, change laundry, clean and organize and pretty much anything I need help with. He always supports my girls nights too! I know, you see, what a man! I am truly blessed to have such a righteous, kind, gentle and trustworthy man for my eternal companion. I love you Jared.

Chase kept trying to grab the flame on the candles. Stinker.

The Double Date...

Love that Jared and Ben don't mind cooking.

Jared and Ben. Ben is younger by 3 years.

Glad we got to celebrate such a great guy. :)

Serving in Young Womens

In my ward at church I am lucky enough to get to work with the young women as the 1st Counselor. I work specifically with the Miamaids (14-15 yr olds) and I love it! Its my girls night every week, some quality time with other feminine emotions like mine. lol Don't get me wrong, I love having a house full of boys (most of the time) haha, but I need my girl time too. And the Lord knows this, so I get to be in Young Womens!

We have a fun crazy night at the beginning of the year called New Beginnings. A night to welcome the upcoming Beehives (12 yr olds) into our group and to talk about what Young Womens is all about. We also get to introduce our New Years mutual theme! This year it is Arise and Shine Forth, from D&C 115:5. I had this fun idea to make pillowcases, a physical reminder to arise and shine as an example to others every day, to be more like Jesus Christ! It was crazy fun making them. I had a lot of help; I didn't have to sew them but I did pick out the fabric, pin them and put the theme on each one after they were made! I'm glad its done and so happy the girls each got one. Here is what they look like:

We made 25 pillowcases! Wowzah!

New Beginnings was tonight, and it went really well! It was laid back and fun, and the girls all had a chance to help out with it in some way. They all helped with Chase too, he got to come since the other boys had wrestling practice, and they even helped dress him up! haha

The girl I never had. lol He was very patient while they did this. This is what happens when you work with young women and have only boys to bring along. :) They all love this baby, he gets passed around at church and activities, and often times fought over. lol

New Beginnings was a lot of fun, but so glad its over!

My Boys

Feels like a house full of monkeys and craziness most of the time, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. :)

We had a good Christmas...

We put up our tree the weekend after Thanksgiving and we are so glad we did, it helped us get into the spirit of Christmas.

Wow, loved the Christmas Eve snow fall: cold noses, playing in the snow with Dad, making a snowman, hot cocoa and snuggling in for our first Christmas dinner with just our little family, games and early to bed. The boys wanted to! They were so excited. We didn't argue. :)

Playing in the snow...

A window kiss... :)

Jared smearing Owen with snow from behind. They got each other good.

Grant sweeping the snow, oh so helpful.

haha, Owen sneaking up on Jared with a snowball. :) Payback.

Tanner's "little snowman"

Chase and I watched all the fun from inside, all nice and warm.

First real snowman of the season, loved the great packing snow!
Our neighbor Logan, in the orange, helped the boys make it.

Games and treats! We love to play Monopoly as a family, Owen usually wins when we play with the fast play die. They love to have their own "money". haha

Read the Christmas story and the boys helped place the characters around baby Jeus as we read, they are finally old enough as a group to understand and sit still for a minute. Love to see the light in their eyes come on and understand the real meaning of Christmas.

This years Grammie Jammies!! They turned out awesome! The boys love to wear them all day. Made by Grandma and Grandpa Frostad every year. They have so many grandkids, they are amazing and I don't know how they do it! :)

Chase loved all the excitement!

Chase's first Christmas, and opening gifts! He is getting so big!

We got the XBox 360 Kinects for Christmas as a family and love that with the games that you sit down to play, it also has games that make you get up and move! The kinects senses you as the controller, so you literally have to move to play!

Jared loves it just as much as the kids. :)

You really get sweaty and active playing this, its great!

Many more fun family nights to come with this one. :)

Hope you all had a great Christmas too! Look forward to this New Year!

Bathroom Remodel

Some of you have seen our bathroom since we remodeled it, but I know others haven't. Here are some pictures, in reverse order, of the after & before that is our bathroom. We did all the work ourselves...

This was before...

Sorry about the naked kid picture, my blog is only for close family and friends. Didn't have another bath tub picture. :)

It took us a month and a half, lots of sweat and late hours, but it is so worth it. Its the nicest room in our whole house! haha My favorite features are the double sinks and the deep soak bath tub! Now all we need is another toilet with all these boys. :)
