Early Thanksgiving morning Damon and I went to the annual Turkey Trot at Manito Park. Starts at 9am. I know, we're crazy. But you can't beat the smells of winter, the frost or the crisp morning air. I go every year! Damon was awesome and ran the 6 miler, I only made it 4 miles before I was done. They always have a drawing and hot apple cider to drink after the race. Yum.
I really enjoyed Thanksgiving; we went to Stephani & Aaron's house again and had an amazing turkey. Aaron did so awesome making the turkey this year! It seriously came off the bone, juicy, tender and not too dry. He's the man! It was a year of first tries: Emmy made homemade pies and I made rolls for the first time. I have to say, all the food turned out so good. I love food, and I'm not picky, but let me tell ya...it was better than ever. So good that the boys all fell asleep on the couch afterward. Us girls sat and chatted in the kitchen and enjoyed having the kids watch a movie. I love the Holidays, brings us all together and strengthens our family.
If you want to see pics from Thanksgiving, go to my sister Stephani's blog...I'm too lazy to post more. :)
But best of all is that when Thanksgiving comes and goes, Christmas is just around the corner!! I can't believe how fast the time goes and will go from now until the New Year! I can't wait to see family that didn't make it for Thanksgiving. Steven and his wife Katy will be here! Melanie and Steve might come with their cute little boys, and my Mom, Ron and little brother Ty are coming too! Yay, more celebrating! I love having something to look forward to.
